Despite the fact that wind squalls are often able to cause serious wind damage or be potentially hazardous, for example, for traffic, particularly for aviation, they were not documented in a more systematic way here in the Czech Republic. This article is devoted to all large wind squalls which affected Czechia during the last more than 50 years. We had to develop our own special software application able to search for potentially interesting situations based on the CLIDATA database data where all Czech weather station reports are archived.
