To chci

The project aims at determining the role of variability of connexin 37 gene in development of micro- and macroangiopathy in females with type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus. A secondary target is to determine the effect of menopause on the complications.Female patients (300-350) with type 1 diabetes mellitus and the same number of type 2 diabetes mellitus female patients will be examined. A cohort of 1 000 women from a representative sample of Czech population will be used as a control group. Clinical data and the presence of micro- or macroangiopathy will be assessed. The measurement of ankle-arm, toe-arm blood pressure ratios and intima/media thickness will determine the presence of subclinical atherosclerosis. … celý popis
