The Institute of the Czech Language ("Ustav pro jazyk cesky", UJC) was established in 1946 in a significant extension of the Office for Dictionary of the Czech Language ("Kancelar Slovniku jazyka ceskeho") as a comprehensive worksite for Czech studies, providing linguistic analysis as well as bearing wide competence for the Czech language.
